Gabriel Marquette is the General Manager at EUROGIA, and the Deputy Director for Industry Relations at CNRS – INSU Institute for Earth and Universe Sciences. He holds an Engineer degree in Mechanics (UTC, France), an M.Sc. in Acoustic and Vibration (ISVR, UK) and a Ph.D. degree (Docteur Ingénieur) in Acoustics (UTC, France). After two years at ENSET–Rabat (Morocco) and eight years with Bertin as research engineer, Gabriel worked for Schlumberger during 20 years where he occupied various positions in R&D&I, including Director of European Affairs, then Director Collaborative Research Europe, his last mission being to develop partnerships with academia and other industries with a focus on CCS, Geothermal Services and Unconventional Gas.

 In 2012 he joined CNRS in his current role, to further develop the relational paradigm between fundamental research and industry while addressing societal and economic demands.  He is also the founder of EUROGIA, the EUREKA Cluster for Low Carbon Energy Technologies that he chaired until 2011.
