Leslie Reissner

Leslie Reissner is Deputy Director of the Science, Technology and Innovation Division of Global Affairs Canada.  His responsibilities include management of Canada’s bilateral science and technology relationships with countries in the Americas and Europe.  He has been with DFATD for 30 years.  In addition to assignments in Ottawa he has had postings in Beijing, Hong Kong, Washington, DC, Berlin and, before assuming his current position, was Consul of Canada in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Before joining the Department in 1985, he was in private legal practice.  He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School of York University.
